YOGA MOVEMENT CLASSES
What is Yoga?
Yoga is a Sanskrit word for union, with the intention to find balance of mind, body and spirit. It is a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline which includes breath control, simple meditation, and the practice of specific bodily postures.
Hatha Yoga
Hatha is a gentle introduction to the basic yoga postures, open to all levels of practitioners. Whether you are new to yoga, or a seasoned practitioner, we will study a well-rounded practice with awareness of breath quality. Hatha is the basis for the shapes or forms created in other styles of yoga practice.
Beginner/Level 1 Vinyasa
Find fluidity in this practice, designed to loosen muscles, mobilize joints, open your heart and calm the mind! There is a focus on connecting breath to each movement. Join me for brief breathwork & centering to begin our class, then we'll do a gentle flow of movement for spirit renewal.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a beautifully meditative and restorative study that heals deep tissues, and addresses chronic tension patterns. An all-levels practice, these postures are held in a passive practice. Students are encourages to wear comfortable layers to encourage relaxation.
